NYRO exists to promote recorder playing at a high level for young people aged 8-25.

We hold Recorder Days throughout the year, both face-to-face and online, and we run two residential courses, one at Easter and one in the Summer.

The Easter course ends with an informal concert and the Recorder Days with a half-hour play-through of the pieces studied. Family and friends are welcome to attend these.

The Summer Course culminates in a public concert and a professional recording.
