Play with other talented young recorder players in either our training orchestra or the main orchestra and additionally the full orchestra combining all players.

The most advanced players will be invited to play in BlockWork, the one-to-a-part ensemble launched in 2007. All players take part in daily technique sessions and chamber music.

Music staff: Colin Touchin, Chris Orton and Ross Winters.

A qualified Matron and other house staff will be in attendance to look after the well-being of the players. All staff have been cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau.

Age: 11 to 21 on the 1st of September 2011
Cost: £460

Standard: NYTRO is intended for players of a good grade 5 standard and above, and ages 11 to 16: progression to NYRO is entirely dependent on annual audition, however players of exceptional skills for their age may be promoted sooner. NYRO is intended for players aged 11 to 21 of a minimum grade 8 standard - however, examination success is not the only criterion: the audition is the main measurement for selection, and capable and experienced players without grade passes are fully encouraged to apply. BlockWork is a one-to-a-part ensemble by invitation (selection through audition).

The concert will be in the school concert hall at 2.30pm on Saturday July 30th.
