Auditions
Entry to the the Easter Course is by teacher assessment; no audition is required.
Auditions for the Summer Course are held in December and Spring before the course.

There may also be auditions in Spring 2010 at other venues if there is sufficient demand.
There is a non-refundable audition fee of £40, which may be offset against the cost of the course if a place is offered in one of the orchestras.
Audition Requirements
2 contrasting pieces of your own choice, to be
played unaccompanied, one on treble, one on any recorder (this can be treble
again), total duration about 6 minutes.
Sight-reading test.
Set studies (posted to you 1 month before the
auditions) written especially for each round of auditions.
NYRO studies are on
treble and bass recorders.
NYTRO players have the choice of two out of
descant, treble and bass studies.
Bass
recorders will be available to borrow at the audition venue.
A warm-up room will be available.
